These are sketchbook images from a brilliant workshop with artist Anita Reynolds. We used a concertina skectchbook and lots of collage and different media. The aim was to along the help process of abstracting landscape. A really fun day!

Dartmoor Sketches
One of several Dartmoor sketches from the Hay Tor/Hound Tor area. Done on a finger-freezing day in early Jan! Pen, conte, charcoal and crayon.
Sketch of Sourton Rocks
The first snow of 2021 and a walk up on to Sourton Rocks on north Dartmoor. A mini blizzard and an end-of-world sky made it pretty memorable, but this sketch was made in the studio with the help of a photograph. Feel this one might make into a fullscale painting!
Outdoor Sketching on Dartmoor
From a foray onto Dartmoor to do some outdoor sketching….the first snow, exhilarating but a ferocious wind and freezing on the fingers! Mostly around Hay Tor, the small quarry at the back of Hay Tor, and Bone Hill. Enjoyed the immediacy of the mark making.
